These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the relationship between you and Moradera in connection with your use of the Moradera website, accounts and services. By accessing or using the platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms. Where applicable law requires affirmative consent, we will seek that consent before treating these Terms as accepted.

Important: Verification is not a guarantee

Moradera helps users make better-informed decisions. A verification result or dealer badge is not, by itself, a guarantee of authenticity, lawful ownership, seller honesty, device condition, or a safe transaction.

01 Acceptance of these Terms

By creating an account, accessing account-only features, registering a device, applying for dealer verification, purchasing a subscription or otherwise using a service governed by these Terms, you agree to the applicable provisions. If you do not agree, do not use the relevant service.

If you use Moradera on behalf of a business or another organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to act for that organisation. References to “you” may include that organisation where appropriate.

You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement. If you are not, you may use the services only with the involvement and authorisation of a parent, guardian or other person where required by law.

02 Definitions

  • Moradera, we, us or our: the operator of the Moradera platform and services.
  • Platform: the Moradera website, account interfaces, databases and related services.
  • User: a person or organisation accessing or using the platform.
  • Device: a phone, laptop, tablet, camera, gaming device or other supported electronic device.
  • Dealer: a seller or business registered to use Moradera's dealer features.
  • Verification: a check or review performed using information, records, documents or processes available to Moradera at the relevant time.
  • Ownership record: a record stored on the platform relating to a claimed or documented device owner or transfer.

03 Account registration and security

You must provide accurate, current and complete information when creating or maintaining an account. You must update information that becomes inaccurate and provide requested supporting documents when reasonably necessary for account security, ownership review, dealer verification or fraud prevention.

You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for activity conducted through your account, except to the extent that applicable law provides otherwise. Do not share your password or allow unauthorised access.

Notify Moradera promptly if you suspect unauthorised account access, identity misuse or a security incident. We may require additional authentication or ask you to reset your password.

We may decline registration or restrict account features where information is incomplete, cannot be verified, creates a material security concern or appears to involve fraud, subject to applicable law and any required review process.

04 Moradera's services

Depending on your account and the features available, Moradera may provide:

  • Device registration and identification records;
  • IMEI or serial-number status checks;
  • Dealer registration and verification;
  • Ownership evidence submission and review;
  • Device ownership and transaction-history records;
  • Lost, stolen, recovered or disputed-device reporting;
  • Ownership-transfer workflows, notifications and support; and
  • Other related features made available on the platform.

Features may differ by user type, verification level, subscription status and the information available to Moradera. We may introduce, modify or discontinue features in accordance with these Terms and applicable law.

Moradera is a verification and record-management platform. Unless a specific service expressly states otherwise, Moradera is not the buyer or seller of a device and does not itself establish the legal ownership of a device merely by creating a record.

05 Device verification and verification levels

Verification results are based on the records, documents, checks and systems available to Moradera at the time of the check. Information may be incomplete, delayed, outdated, incorrect or unavailable.

A successful IMEI or serial-number check does not necessarily establish that a device is genuine, free from defects, free from financing obligations, lawfully acquired, not subject to a claim, or safe to purchase. A clean result does not mean that a device has never been stolen or reported elsewhere.

Verification levels describe the checks or evidence recorded by Moradera. They are not government certifications, warranties, insurance policies or guarantees of a device's condition or legal status.

You should independently inspect a device, confirm the seller's identity and authority to sell, check relevant records, and obtain appropriate proof of purchase before paying. Do not rely solely on a Moradera result when making a purchase decision.

06 Dealer accounts and verification

Dealers must provide truthful business and identity information, submit requested evidence and keep their profiles current. Moradera may review submitted information before granting, renewing or maintaining a verification status.

A “Verified Dealer” designation means that the dealer has completed the applicable Moradera verification process as represented by the platform. It is not a guarantee of every listing, product, transaction, financial position or future conduct of that dealer.

Dealers must list devices accurately, disclose material defects and known ownership concerns, and avoid misleading descriptions, false claims or unauthorised use of another person's identity.

Dealer status may be limited, suspended or removed if verification expires, documents become unreliable, subscription requirements are not met, or credible evidence of misconduct arises. Where appropriate, Moradera may request clarification or further evidence.

07 Ownership records and transfers

You may register a device only if you own it or are authorised by its lawful owner to submit the relevant information. Moradera may request a receipt, purchase proof, transfer evidence or other documents before accepting or changing an ownership record.

You must not register a device using forged documents, knowingly false information or another person's identity without lawful authority.

A transfer recorded on Moradera documents an action or submission within the platform. It does not independently replace any contract of sale, statutory requirement or other legal formality required to transfer ownership.

Moradera may delay, flag or decline a transfer where there is a credible ownership dispute, a conflicting record, suspected fraud, an unresolved stolen-device report or insufficient supporting evidence. We may request evidence from the parties before making changes to our records.

Users must not attempt to bypass an ownership review or transfer a record without the required authority and consent.

08 Lost, stolen, recovered and disputed devices

You may submit a lost-device, stolen-device or recovery report where the feature is available. Reports must be truthful, made in good faith and supported by accurate information to the extent reasonably possible.

False or malicious reports may result in restrictions on your account and may expose you to legal consequences. If a report is incorrect, withdrawn or resolved, notify Moradera and provide reasonable supporting evidence so the record can be reviewed.

Moradera may display a warning, restrict a transfer or refer a matter for further review where appropriate. A report is not, by itself, a final determination of criminal conduct or legal ownership.

Moradera does not guarantee that a lost or stolen device will be located or recovered. Report suspected theft to the appropriate law-enforcement authority. Recovery, investigation and return of property are matters for the relevant authorities and other authorised parties under applicable law.

09 Buyer–seller transactions

Buyers and sellers are responsible for assessing each other, agreeing on price and payment terms, inspecting the device, confirming delivery and documenting the transaction.

Unless a specific feature expressly states otherwise, Moradera is not a party to the sale contract, does not take possession of the device and does not guarantee delivery, payment, device quality or the conduct of either party.

Do not make a payment solely because a seller has a Moradera account or verification badge. Confirm the recipient and agreed payment details independently. Keep receipts, communications and proof of delivery.

If Moradera offers a transaction-related feature, any additional rules presented for that feature will apply to its use. Nothing in this section excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10 Fees, subscriptions and refunds

Certain features, including dealer features, may require a paid subscription or other disclosed fee. Applicable prices, billing periods, payment methods and feature limits will be shown before you commit to a paid service.

You are responsible for providing correct payment information and ensuring that authorised payments can be completed. A payment initiation or receipt from a payment provider does not necessarily mean that Moradera has confirmed or activated the relevant service.

Paid access begins when the applicable activation requirements have been satisfied and the service is made available. Unless the checkout states otherwise, a subscription lasts for the period purchased and may need to be renewed to continue.

Cancellation stops future access or renewal as applicable; it does not automatically entitle you to a refund for an unused period. Refunds, billing errors, duplicate payments and other payment complaints will be assessed under the disclosed payment terms and applicable law. Nothing in these Terms removes a refund or remedy required by law.

We will communicate material fee or subscription changes before they apply where required. A change will not retrospectively alter a completed payment without a lawful basis.

11 Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Submit false, misleading, forged or unauthorised information;
  • Register or attempt to transfer a device without appropriate authority;
  • Use Moradera to facilitate fraud, theft, unlawful resale or other illegal conduct;
  • Harass, threaten, impersonate or defraud another user;
  • Attempt to access another account or restricted records without permission;
  • Interfere with the platform, bypass security controls or introduce malicious code;
  • Scrape, copy, resell or misuse platform data in breach of law or these Terms; or
  • Use Moradera's name, branding or verification marks to imply an endorsement that has not been granted.

We may investigate suspected misuse and take proportionate action, including requesting clarification, restricting features, removing content or suspending an account, subject to applicable law.

12 Privacy and personal information

Moradera processes personal information to operate accounts, verify users and devices, maintain records, provide support, prevent fraud, administer subscriptions and meet applicable legal obligations.

Our separate Privacy Policy explains the categories of information we collect, the purposes and lawful bases for processing, disclosures, retention, security measures and the rights available to individuals under applicable data-protection law.

Some device-status information may be visible to other users or the public to support verification and fraud prevention. Moradera should limit public results to information appropriate for that purpose. Private contact details, identity documents and confidential account information are not intended to be exposed through public verification results.

We may disclose relevant information to competent authorities, service providers or other recipients where permitted or required by applicable law and our Privacy Policy. We do not promise that every record will remain confidential where lawful disclosure or a legitimate platform function requires otherwise.

13 Intellectual property

The Moradera name, branding, interface, software, design, text and other platform materials are owned by Moradera or used under appropriate rights, except for material belonging to third parties or users.

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the platform for its intended purposes, subject to these Terms. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute or commercially exploit our protected materials without permission, except where the law allows.

You retain any rights you have in content and documents you submit. You authorise Moradera to use, store and process those materials as reasonably necessary to provide the services, maintain records, conduct verification and handle reports or disputes, in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

14 Service availability and security

We aim to provide a reliable service, but uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed. Maintenance, system failures, connectivity problems, third-party outages, cyber incidents or events beyond our reasonable control may affect access or results.

We may temporarily restrict a feature to protect users, investigate a suspected incident, maintain the system or comply with law. We will take reasonable steps to restore affected services where practicable.

You should maintain appropriate security on your own devices and protect your account credentials. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

15 Suspension, cancellation and termination

You may stop using Moradera at any time. You may request account closure through the available account controls or by contacting support. Account closure does not automatically erase records that must lawfully be retained or are reasonably required to resolve disputes, prevent fraud or meet legal obligations.

We may suspend, limit or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of material breaches of these Terms, suspected fraud, security risks, unlawful conduct, non-payment or legal requirements. Where appropriate and lawful, we will notify you and provide a way to challenge or clarify the decision.

Ending an account does not extinguish obligations or liabilities that arose before termination. Provisions intended by their nature to continue after termination will remain effective.

16 Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Moradera provides verification and record-management services based on available information and does not warrant that every record, report or result will be complete, current or error-free.

Moradera does not guarantee that use of the platform will prevent theft, fraud, loss, damage, unlawful resale or disputes, or that any device will be recovered. Users remain responsible for their own purchasing, selling and security decisions.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Moradera will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the platform, including loss of profits, business opportunity or goodwill. This provision does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability arising from fraud or any other category that applicable law makes non-excludable.

Nothing in these Terms excludes statutory rights, consumer protections or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived. Where a limitation is unenforceable, it will apply only to the extent legally permitted.

17 Responsibility for claims

You are responsible for the information you submit and your conduct on the platform. If your unlawful conduct, fraud or material breach of these Terms causes a third-party claim against Moradera, we may seek recovery of losses to the extent permitted by law and to the extent those losses were caused by your conduct.

This section does not require you to indemnify Moradera for losses caused by Moradera's own negligence, unlawful conduct or other acts for which applicable law does not permit recovery from you.

18 Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the platform, business operations, security requirements or applicable law. We will publish the updated version and revise the effective date.

Where a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we will provide reasonable notice or seek renewed consent where required by law. If you do not agree to a material change, you should stop using the affected service and may contact us about cancellation of a paid service.

19 Complaints, disputes and applicable law

If you have a complaint about Moradera, contact support using the details below. Please provide enough information to identify the issue without sending unnecessary sensitive information.

We will review complaints in a reasonable manner and may request further information. Where a complaint concerns a device sale between users, the parties remain responsible for their sale agreement, although Moradera may assist with platform records or review matters within its control.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes shall be handled by a court of competent jurisdiction in Nigeria, subject to applicable mandatory consumer protections and legal procedures.

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
